Ultimamente ci siamo recati all’EXPO2015 che si trova vicino a Milano e può essere raggiunta direttamente e in modo molto compodo in treno dal Ticino, senza andare a Milano Centro. Abbiamo trovato molto comodo questo accesso.

Arrivati davanti ai cancelli, dove si è sottoposti ad un checkpoint, c’era già una lunga colonna e pur avendo già i biglietti abbiamo dovuto aspettare almeno ¾ d’ora. A mio modo di vedere questo può purtroppo essere un problema quest’estate con il grande caldo.

Wir sind kürzlich an die EXPO2015, bei Mailand gereist. Die Weltausstellung kann bequem direkt mit dem Zug ab Zürich HB erreicht werden, ohne in Mailand umsteigen zu müssen.

Als wir vor dem Expoeingang ankamen, war da bereits eine lange Schlange und, obwohl wir die Billette bereits hatten, mussten wir ungefähr ¾ Stunden warten bis wir am Checkpoint ankamen. Dieses doch recht lange Warten kann im Sommer vielleicht ein Problem sein, weil man halt ziemlich an der Sonne steht.

We have lately gone to se the World exhibition EXPO2015, which is set near Milan and can easily be reached by train from Zurich and Ticino, of course.There was already a long queue when we arrived at the checkpoint so that we had to wait around ¾ of an hour despite the fact that we had already tickets. This may represent a problem in summer when it is very hot.

PADIGLIONE ZERO/PAVILLON ZERO/PAVILION ZERO

L’area d’esposizione ci ha subito fatto un’ottima impressione, perché le costruzioni e le strade sono terminate. Vale veramente la pena di andarci!! Volevamo subito andare al padiglione ZERO ma a causa della lunga colonna abbiamo spostato questa visita a più tardi. La forma di questo padiglione, disegnato dall’architetto Michele De Lucchi e curato da Davide Rampello, riproduce il suolo terrestre con montagne, colline e una grande valle centrale.

Qui viene rappresentata la missione delle Nazioni Unite ” Sfida Fame Zero” che è in stretta relazione al filo conduttore dell’EXPO2015, ossia “Nutrire il Pianeta, Energia per la Vita”. E’ naturalmente ovvio che tutta la gente che viene all’EXPO2015 sprecca tantissimo cibo!!

L’albero della vita/Baum des Lebens/The tree of life

Das Ausstellungsgelände hat uns jedoch sofort beeindruckt, da auch alle Gebäude und Strassen fertig gebaut waren und es lohnt sich wirklich diese EXPO 2015 zu besuchen. Eigentlich wollten wir direkt in den Pavillon ZERO gehen, aber da es so viele Menschen gab, verschoben wir diesen Besuch auf später. Die Form dieses Gebäudes, das vom Architekten Michele De Lucchi entworfen wurde und von Davide Rampello beaufsichtigt, stellt den Erdboden dar mit Bergen, Hügeln und einem grossen Haupttal. Hier wird die Mission der Vereinigten Nationen „NULL Hunger Herausforderung “ gezeigt, die auch im engen Zusammenhang mit dem Leitfaden der Weltausstellung „Den Planeten ernähren“ „Energie des Lebens“ ist. Es ist natürlich klar, dass all die Menschen, die an die Weltausstellung kommen sehr viel Nahrungsmittel verschwenden!

We’ve immediately been very impressed by the exhibition camp, as the constuctions and roads had been terminated and I heartiliy advice you to go and see the EXPO2015. We first wanted to see the pavilion ZERO but as there was such a long queue we postponed that visit. The form of the building which has been designed by the architect Michele De Lucchi and Davide Rampello is the responsible curator of it, represents the soil of the earth with mountains, hills and the big main valley. The UN’s mission, „The NO hunger challenge“ is shown which is in close connection with the guidline of the EXPO2015 and „To feed the planet”. It’s of course, clear that all these people who come to the EXPO2015 squander a lot of food!

Abbiamo poi seguito questo itinerario attraverso la storia, ossia dall’agricoltura rurale alla produzione industriale del cibo. All’inizio c’è una grandissima biblioteca (non abbiamo fatto fotografie perché era troppo scuro) che dimostra che il passato, il presente e futuro coesistono grazie ai libri. E’ così buio perché si vuole dare l’esperienza di entrare al centro della terra e vederla dall’interno.

Abbiamo letto che un terzo dei cibi prodotti viene buttato via e che si spera anche di dare ai paesi meno sviluppati le tecnologie oppure altri attrezzi necessari per promuovere uno smercio più veloce ed efficiente dei loro prodotti.

Si discute anche su come garantire cibo che sia sano, sufficiente e sostenibile in ogni parte del mondo. Non si muore sulla nostra terra unicamente per mancanza di cibo, ma anche a causa di un’alimentazione eccessiva e scorretta.

Wir haben diesen Pfad durch die Geschichte der Landwirtschaft also durchquert, sind durch die rurale bis zur industriellen Produktion der Lebensmittel gegangen. Am Anfang des Pavillon hat es eine enorme Bibliothek (Wir haben hier keine Bilder gemacht, weil es sehr dunkel war), die zeigt, dass die Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und die Zukunft, dank der Bücher, koexistieren. Es ist so dunkel, weil man den Menschen die Erfahrung ermöglichen will in die Erde selbst hineinzugehen und sie von innen zu betrachten.

Wir haben gelesen, dass 1/3 der Lebensmittel weggeworfen wird und dass man hofft, die Verarbeitung der Lebensmittel effizienter zu machen, indem man den unterwickelten Ländern die nötigen Technologien/Arbeitsmittel zukommen lässt.

Wie man den Menschen unseres Planeten genug gesunde und umweltfreundlich produzierte Lebensmittel garantieren will, wird ebenfalls immer wieder diskutiert. Man stirbt auf unserer Welt nicht nur, weil man nicht genug zu essen hat, sondern auch weil man ungesund und zu viel isst!

So we followed the itinerary of rural agriculture that leads to the industrial food production. At the entrance of the pavilion there is an enormous library (We didn’t take any pictures because it was really very dark), which shows that the past, the present and the future coexist thanks to the books. It is so dark because the organizers want to give the visitors the possibility to enter the earth and experience it from the inside.

We have read that 1/3 of food is wasted and that it is hoped that its elaboration will be made more efficient by providing underdeveloped countries and its people with the necessary technology/tools.

Ways of how to feed all the people on our planet with healthy and in a sustainable way produced food is repeatedly discussed. On our planet one does not only die because of lack of food but also because of too much or bad food!

Abbiamo pure visto il padiglione del Vietnam (mi sembra che dovrebbe far parte del CLUSTER assieme a paesi che hanno simile tematiche simili, come per esempio riso, caffè, pepe, frutta secca o frutti di mare ) che è dedicato all’acqua e ai fiori lokus. L’acqua è l’elemento più importante al mondo perché è nutrizione e da vita a tutte le cose che vivono, però in verità viene messo in pericolo, perché peschiamo fino ad esaurire le risorse ittiche, distruggendo l’ecosistema, o non diamo all’ acquacoltura la possibilità di produrre più pesce.

I fiori di loto sono molto conosciuti in Vietnam, crescono nel fango ed esprimono una bellezza disarmante con la capacità di purificare l’acqua, nella quale vivono. Il Vietnam esprime in questo modo la sua volontà di voler proteggere sia l’ambiente che l’acqua.

Wir haben auch den Pavillon von Vietnam besucht (dieser müsste eigentlich im Cluster zusammen mit anderen Ländern sein, die ähnliche Themen behandeln, wie z.B. Reis, Kaffee, Dürrfrüchte oder Meeresfrüchte) das dem Wasser und der Lotusblume gewidmet ist. Wasser ist das wichtigste Element auf der Erde, weil es Ernährung bedeutet und allem und jeglichem Leben gibt. In Wirklichkeit wird dieses Wasser auch in diesem Land durch Überfischung und Zerstörung des Ökosystems gefährdet. Leider gibt man auch der Aquakultur nicht mehr genug Zeit sich weiter zu pflanzen.

Die Lotusblüten sind sehr bekannt in Vietnam, wachsen im Fango und strahlen eine atemberaubende Schönheit aus mit der Fähigkeit das Wasser zu reinigen, in dem sie leben. Vietnam zeigt auf diese Weise sein Wille Land und Wasser beschützen zu wollen.

Vietnam: „Water and Lotus“ Water is the most important element in the world for the nourishment and life of all living things, yet in reality it is threatened by the effects of, overfishing because the fishing industry doesn’t respect nature anymore and we distroy the ecosystem, nor is the reproduction time respected anymore and there is too much waste.

The lotus flower is widespread in Vietnam, growing in the mud and expressing a disarming beauty with the capacity for purifying the water in which it lives. Vietnam shows in this way ist desire to protect water and land.

SVIZZERA/SCHWEIZ/SWITZERLAND

Siamo naturalmente andati a vedere il Padiglione della Svizzera le cui quattro torri stanno per acqua, mele, sale e caffè. Ci ha colpito con la sua sobrietà e funzionalità. Lo stesso è un po’ in opposizione alle costruzioni circostanti che sono abbastanza sfarzose. Le torri rendono l’attenti sulle risorse in diminuzione.

Purtroppo a solo più di due settimane dall’inaugurazione di Expo 2015, il Padiglione svizzero aveva già esaurito tutte le 105’000 mele  pronte per i visitatori perché andavano a ruba e che componevano il quarto piano della torre che è quindi chiuso per il momento. La stessa sorte è poi toccata al primo piano dove sono terminati i bicchieri d’acqua messi a disposizione dei visitatori.

Si vede benissimo cosa succede quando ognuno di noi consuma di più di quanto gli spetta.!!! Ho sentito che c’erano delle persone che sono uscite dal padiglione con uno zaino pieno di mele.Questo vuole soprattutto svegliare in noi il senso di responsabilità nella gestione alimentare.

Ci ha impressionato il granito di 21 tonnellate del massiccio del Gottardo che indica i fiumi importanti per il sistema dell’acqua europea.

LE TORRI SVIZZERE/DIE SCHWEIZER TUERME/THE SWISS TOWERS.

In der Gotthardregion entspringen vier internationale Flüsse. Zusammen mit dem Wasser, das in den Gletschern gespeichert wird, sind diese Flüsse von äusserster Wichtigkeit für das europäische Wassersystem.

Acqua è bellezza. L’acqua nella regione del Gottardo fa che questa regione è un posto affascinante. Opere d’ingegneria che ispirano un senso d’onore e un bellissimo ambiente attirano gente dal mondo intero.

Natürlich sind wir bis zum Pavillon der Schweiz gegangen, dessen vier Türmen für Wasser, Äpfel, Salz und Kaffee stehen, der uns durch seine Schlichtheit und Funktionalität beeindruckt hat. Er steht ein bisschen im Gegensatz zu den umliegenden Pavillons, die doch recht pompös sind. Die Türme machen auf die verschwindenden Ressourcen aufmerksam.

Leider musste der Turm mit den Apfelringen bereits 2 Wochen nach Eröffnung der EXPO 2015 geschlossen werden, weil bereits alle 105’000 Äpfel, die den Besuchern zur Verfügung gestellt wurden, was ein Viertel des Totals darstellt, verbraucht waren. Dasselbe ist auch mit den auf dem ersten Stock den Besuchern zu Verfügung gestellten Bechern passiert.

An diesem Beispiel sieht man sehr gut, was passiert, wenn jeder über seine Verhältnisse lebt!! Ich habe gehört, dass Personen die Äpfel in vollen Körben abtransportiert haben.

We have, of course, visited the Swiss Pavilion and its four towers, which represent water, apples, salt and coffee and which made a special impression on us because of its simplicity and functionality. It is somehow in opposition to the surrounding pavilions that are rather ostentatious. In any case the four towers draw our attention to the diminishing resources.

Unfortunately, the tower with the apple rings had already to be closed two weeks after the opening of the EXPO2015, because all of the 105’000 apples, ready to be taken away by the visitors, which represented a quarter of the total, were already consumed by the visitors.

The same abuse was noticed as far as the goblets are concerned, which were put at the disposal of the visitors.

These examples show us in a very clear way what happens when each of us lives beyond his means or consumes more than he has the right to. I have heard that some people carry away baskets full of apples!

The important rivers which have their sources in the Gotthard massif are engraved into the beautiful granite stone which weighs 21 tons.
