Die grosse Liebe von Hanns Josef Ortheil,

Ein deutscher TV-Redakteur reist nach San Benedetto, ein kleiner Ort an der Adriaküste, um einen Film zu drehen. Aus diesem Grund lernt er die Meeresbiologin Franca kennen und verliebt sich in sie. Obwohl er sich lange nicht klar ist, ob Franca auch solche Gefühle für ihn hat, wird er sich schnell bewusst, dass es sich um eine ganz aussergewöhnliche Liebe handelt, sie ist sein  Idealtyp! Die beiden geniessen es einfach nur die Farben des Meer zu bestaunen, die nähere Umgebung und ihre Eigenheiten zu erkunden. Sie gehen einfach ihren Weg ungeachtet der Widerstände. Ich habe es auch sehr genossen ganz beiläufig mehr über die Italiener, ihre Traditionen und die Umgebung in einer wunderschönen Sprache mitgeteilt zu bekommen.

Es gibt kein tragisches Ende, wie in vielen grossen Liebesgeschichten, obwohl Franca sich unsittlich verhält. Das Buch beginnt wie folgt: “Plötzlich das Meer, ganz nah, eine graue, stille beinahe völlig beruhigte Fläche.”

Vielleicht haben der Fernsehredakteur und Franca an einem Ort, wie diesem die Fischsuppe gegessen und den Wein getrunken!! The protagonist of this story is a German TV editor who travels from Munich to San Benedetto, a small village on the Adriatic coast in the south of Ancona. His goal is to make a film and he therefore meets the biologist of the sea, Franca at the museum and falls in love with her on the spot by the way she describes the sea and its animals with such enthusiasm. Despite the fact that he remains unsure for quite a while, whether Franca has the same feelings for him, he is aware that it’s an exceptional love. She is just the perfect person for him! They just go their way indipendent of the resistence.Both of them love to discover the colours of the sea or the near surrounding and the people and their characteristics. I have also enjoyed to learn, just by chance, more about the Italians, their traditions and landscape and all this in a beautiful language.

There is no tragic end, like in many big love stories, despite the fact that Franca doesn’t behave according to the rules. The book starts more or less as follows: “Suddenly the sea, very close, a grey and almost completely calm surface”.

IL GRANDE AMORE SCRITTO DA HANNS JOSEF ORTHEIL

Un redattore televisivo viaggia da Monaco a San Benedetto, una cittadina sulla costa adriatica a sud di Ancona, per preparare un film sul luogo, il mare e l’istituto della talassobiologia. Per questo motivo incontra Franca, talassobiologa e si innamora a prima vista per il suo entusiasmo per il mare ed i suoi animali. Benché Giovanni non è in chiaro, se i suoi sentimenti vengono sentite anche da Franca, egli è pienamente cosciente che si tratta d’un amore assolutamente eccezionale. Lei rappresenta il suo carattere perfetto! Vanno per la loro strada, indipendentemente della resistenza. I due godono in pieno di osservare i colori del mare e di scoprire i paesaggi circostanti e le caratteristiche. Io l’ho semplicemente goduto a venire a sapere, en passant, di più sugli italiani , le loro tradizioni e paesaggi, tutto descritto in una lingua squisita.

Non c’è una fine tragica, come spesso accade nelle grandi storie d’amore e ciò malgrado il fatto che Franca non rispetti le tradizioni! Il libro comincia con le parole seguenti: “ E improvvisamente il mare, molto vicino, una superficie grigia a quasi completamente calma”.
