FOOT REFLEXOLOGY:/From A2 onward
Is anybody interested in this method of treatment in order to get rid of pain?
Throughout the last years the discussions about recognition of alternative therapies and their integration into conventional health care systems have become stronger. One of these therapies, which is controversally discussed, is known as reflexzone therapy or reflexology. Research has been carried out into this method with regard to its origin, functionality, concept and therapeutic use by reviewing published works. However, non of the published works gives a complete scientifically based and proved explanation of the method’s functionality and more research has to be done.
Evidence for the ancient origins of reflexology can be found in different cultures, such as India (over 5000 years BC), Assyria, Egypt (2500 BC) and in China (4000BC). Besides these, roots are also found in North America.
