Anlässlich unseres Besuches bei unseren Freunden in Hamburg haben uns diese voller Stolz die vielen Neuigkeiten bezüglich dieser Stadt und deren Umgebung erzählt.

When we have recently been to Hamburg to visit our friends they have been vey proud to tell us all the news concerning the city and its surrounding.

In occasione della nostra ultima visita ad Amburgo i nostri amici ci hanno racconato, pieni di orgoglio, le ultime novità riguardanti la città.

Die UNESCO hat jetzt also die aus roter Grundfarbe bestehende Speicherstadt und das Kontorhausviertel deren Bauwerke über die Jahrhunderte hinweg kunstvoll aus Backsteinen zusammengefügt worden sind, ausgezeichnet und wir haben es wieder genossen durch diese Pflasterstrassen zu schlendern, wo wir auch einen Teppichladen besucht haben, der Versuchung aber haben widerstehen können! Das expressionistische Chilehaus, das an den Bug eines Ozeanriesen erinnert und seine Nachbargebäude sowie die neogotischen Lagerhäuser gehören natürlich dazu und werden mit dem Schloss von Versailles gleichgestellt. Dass diese über Jahrhunderte zusammengefügten Bauwerke erhalten geblieben sind, trotz der Zerstörungen im zweiten Weltkrieg und der Abrisswut der folgenden Jahrzehnte ist ein Glücksfall der Geschichte.

Das Chilehaus

La pittoresca „Speicherstadt“ è di colore di base rosso come anche il quartiere “Kontorhaus“ le cui costruzioni di mattoni che sono state messe artisticamente assieme per centinaia di anni hanno ricevuto l’onorificenza dall’ UNESCO. Abbiamo goduto la visita di queste strade acciottolate, dove siamo anche state messe in tentazioni in un negozio di tappeti iraniani. La “CHILEHAUS” espressionista, che fa pensare alla prua di un gigante dell’oceano e le costruzioni nelle vicinanze come anche i depositi neo-gotici ci fanno parte e vengono paragonate con il castello di Versailles. Il fatto che tutto questo insieme abbia potuto sopravvivere sia la seconda guerra mondiale come anche la voglia di distruggere tutto negli decenni dopo la guerra viene considerato un colpo di fortuna.

The UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) has honoured the “Speicherstadt” as well as the Kontorhaus district with its unique architecture that consist of red basic colour. For centuries these buildings have been artfully arranged with brick stones and to amble across this part of the city is a real pleasure. We even stopped at the Iranian carpet shop and were very much tempted ! The Chile House, which makes you think of an ocean giant ‘s prow as well as the buildings nearby and the neo-gothic storehouses also belong to the whole complex which is now compared with the Castle of Versailles. It seems to be a real stroke of luck that these buildings erected in the course of many centuries have survived despite the Second World War and the consequent desire to destroy everything.

In der Speicherstadt

Diese Würdigung kommt auch sehr gelegen, so scheint es mir, denn verschiedene Hamburger mit denen ich gesprochen habe, scheinen begeistert zu sein, dass die Olympiade 2024 vielleicht dieser Stadt- zusammen mit Kiel- vergeben wird. Die Menschen in Hamburg sind mir auch als speziell sportlich aufgefallen, denn, wenn sie nicht joggen dann fahren sie Rad oder rudern. Sogar in einem Einkaufszentrum gab es einen Spielplatz, wo die Kinder sich sportlich betätigen konnten, während die Eltern einkauften. Am Sonntagmorgen sind wir zum Rathaus gefahren, weil wir uns im Bucerius Forum die Ausstellung „Über Wasser“ ansehen wollten und siehe da, der Platz war Ziel der Triathlon Läufer und wurde von begeisterten Sportfans gesäumt.

This honour really turned up to the right time, so it seems to me, because the citizens of the city with whom I have spoken are enthusiastic about the probability of Hamburg – together with Kiel- becoming the host of the Olympic games in summer 2024. To me the Hamburger seems to be quite sporty anyway because when they are not jogging they go by bike or they love rowing. Even in the shopping centre near our flat there is a court where the children play intensively while their parents do the shopping.

It was on Sunday morning when we arrived at the town hall square and wanted to go to the Bucerius Forum to see the exhibition “ÜBER WASSER” when we saw that it had turned into the arrival arena for the triathlon runners, which were received by the spectators with great enthusiasm.

Quest’onore viene anche nel momento più appropriato, così sembra a me, perché molti cittadini sono entusiasti dalla probabilità che Amburgo- assieme a Kiel- sarà ospite dei giochi olimpici nel 2024. Gli Amburghesi mi sembrano in ogni caso molto sportivi, perché se non fanno jogging vanno in bicicletta o remano. Persino in un supermercato c’era un campo da gioco dove i bambini possono allenarsi mentre che i genitori fanno le proviste. Domenica mattina ci siamo recati alla piazza del Municipio per vedere l’esposizione „ÜBER WASSER“ al Forum Bucerius, e siamo stati sorpresi da una folla di gente che riceveva con grande entusiasmo i corridori del triathlon.

Die Ausstellung „Über Wasser“ zu diesem zentralen Thema mittels Malerei und Fotografien haben wir dann trotzdem gesehen und auch diese machte uns grosse Freude sowie auch nachdenklich. Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849): Die große Welle vor Kanagawa, um 1830 hat mir besonders gut gefallen! Wie klein erscheint doch der Fuji, oder höchster Berg Japans! Er und die drei Fischerbote scheinen von der Welle verschluckt zu werden. (Zu diesem Holzschnitt gibt es auch ein Audio.)

L’esposizione fotografico e di pitture impressionanti abbiamo visto lo stesso, ma un po’ più tardi! Che bello una qualche goccia d’acqua con questo caldo torpido. Il link dell’esposizione vedete qui di sopra. A me è piaciuto soprattutto LA GANDE ONDA die Katsushika Hokusai che ci fa vedere quanto può diventare piccolo persino la montagna più alta del Giappone, il Fuji, e i tre battelli da pesca nei confronti di un’ onda. Die Welle

On Sunday morning we wanted to visit the museum Bucerius, where there was an exhibition about water. When we arrived at the City Hall we saw that many inspired spectators where clapping hands and watching the arrival of the triathlon runners.

Despite a little delay we could attend this lovely and thought provoking exhibition about water and the very important subject shown by means of pictures and paintings. It’s great to be besprinkled by water drops in this summer heat!

I very much liked “The big wave” by Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849). If you click on the above link you can see it and how small the biggest mountain of Japan, the Fuji, is in comparison to the wave. This famous mountain, as well as the fishing boats, seem to be swallowed by the wave. If you click on the link given on the description in German you can even listen to the explanations of this woodcarving.

Grossartig unterhalten wurden wir im Thalia Theater von SALUT SALON oder vier Frauen mit ihrem humorvollen und ideenreichen Programm ” Ein Karneval der Tiere und andere Phantasien”

Al teatro Thalia abbiamo potuto assistere ad un stupendo concerto, pieno di allegria e idee particolari, del gruppo SALUT SALON composto da quattro donne. Questo nuovo programma si chiama: “Il carnevale degli animali ed altre fantasie”.

At the Thalia Theatre we were splendidly entertained by SALUT SALON or for women, who presented their program full of good humor and many special ideas. (A carneval of the animals and other fantasies)

“Ich wollt ich wär ein Huhn” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbQRzmXuIvs Das Lied wird auf ganz spezielle Art und Weise von den vier Künstlerinnen vorgetragen. This picture refers to the song”I wish I were a hen” which is presented by the four artists in a very special and funny way.
Questa foto si riferisce alla canzone “Se solo fossi una gallina” che viene presentato dalle quattro artiste in un modo tutto particolare e divertente!
